Three Industries That Are Now Actively Recruiting Graduates With MBAs

2010-06-01

The out-of-college job search is grim. News magazines, online search engines, and media outlets report on and on about the shrinking job market. But for college graduates with an MBA, there is hope. Education- more specifically a graduate school education-has become a highly valued resource. In addition to an education for recent graduates with an MBA degree, companies seek young and energetic workers who will bring enthusiasm and innovation to their company. This combination of education and energy makes MBA degrees a valued commodity for MBA industries hanging out the "Now Hiring" sign.

Management Consulting firms are looking for talent, attempting to find able and competent business school graduates with MBA degrees. This MBA industry-utilized by companies and businesses seeking growth- requires a pool of talent to draw upon. Why? These firms have become great sources for great CEO's and other high-importance positions, "graduating" their own employees on to bigger (and better) careers while giving their "graduates" a thorough introduction to the world of business. Of course, this MBA industry is a fertile career in and of itself- providing a good career, along with the possibility of branching out and furthering the MBA graduate's job prospects.

While tough economic times may still be present, internet search engines have taken a step into the ranks of MBA industries. These companies have shown consistent growth and with such growth come the need for competent and able people to lead their employees- making an MBA degree a hot commodity within these dynamic and vibrant industries. Be prepared though, these MBA industries take only MBA graduates that know what they are doing and do it well. Getting in the door may not be easy, but for graduates who have put in years of hard work to earn their degrees, the challenge is worth it.

Finance and banking has proven to be yet another industry that has been on the talent search recently. Prominent investment firms, as well as large banks have been looking for MBA degrees to add to their talent resources. With the relatively recent government bailout and the stimulus package, the finance industry has been perceived to have taken a hit. However, for the companies that have survived the tough times in this MBA industry there has been growth; growth that means ample job opportunities for the recently graduated MBA degrees.

The job outlook has been full of doom and gloom- and the simple fact is that the job market has soured in the face of a recession. However, for graduates with MBA degrees, there is hope. But, no matter how grim the outlook is, talented graduates will find a career with these three MBA industries.
